WasabiCon 2020 & COVID-19
WasabiCon is an event that is, first and foremost, about community. Our goal each year is to present a celebration of pop culture for fans of all ages in an environment that’s both fun AND comfortable for everyone attending. Part of that comfort is contingent on safety, and the team at Green Mustard Entertainment has been monitoring the ever-evolving influence that COVID-19 (Coronavirus) is having on mass gatherings worldwide.
Last week, our team and the team from the Prime Osborn Convention Center discussed the potential impact on WasabiCon 2020 this October. For now, WasabiCon 2020 is scheduled to take place as planned. Tickets are on sale, our Vendors Room is sold out, and Artist Alley has enough applications to cover 140% of the available tables and is being juried for approval. Panel applications for the convention will open in May, and we’ll be confirming and announcing more guests in the coming months.
If you have a suggestion or feedback for things you feel should be considered while putting together this year’s WasabiCon, please feel free to email us: contact@WasabiCon.com. While we can’t guarantee that we will be able to reply to every email, we will read each one and share the feedback with our crew and the management at the Prime Osborn.
For now, please #StaySafe and know that our team is working diligently to create an unforgettable fan experience for you this fall.

We are working on those now. The team felt that these should be held off another week based on other more pressing conversations. We’ll have them up soon. Thanks!

Good morning,
I know it might be a little late in the game but I have a question about the process of applying for a panel group. I am part of the 405th HALO Costume and Prop Making Community……just the 405th for short. Since we are all “suffering” from Con withdrawal, I thought it might alleviate the pain to reach out to Cons that have gone over to Virtual to try and ease said pain.
We have a wide variety of cosplayers with talents on different methods of manufacture with different types of materials. We also have experts on 3D printing and electronics. Would that be something worth perusing? I don’t necessarily represent the 405th (I’m just the Keeper of the Cons List and Division Scheduler), but I can connect you w/ the proper staff to make an intro if you are.
Thank you and hope to hear from you soon.
