FEATURED TALENT: The Sailor Scouts of Jacksonville will return to WasabiCon!

From the SSoJ: “We are the Sailor Scouts of Jacksonville and we are here to defend this city from the Negaverse and bring some positivity! We achieve that through all the amazing skills our members possess. From sewing to crafting, to dancing and lots of things in between! We attend cons from Jacksonville to Orlando. Our mission is to make Jacksonville a more magical place! Stay magical!”
In 2017, the SSoJ hosted a very popular 18+ casino style event at WasabiCon.  We can’t wait to see what they have in store for this year!

FEATURED TALENT: Sailor Scouts of Jacksonville

The Sailor Scouts of Jacksonville work around the clock to protect your hometown from the Negaverse!  Whether spreading joy at a Florida convention, a birthday party, or the release of the Sailor Moon R movie, your local pretty guardians are committed to banishing boredom!
They started out as a pair—Sailor Moon and the original Sailor Venus (who then found Sailor Mercury!) Soon enough, one by one, they blossomed into a full cast representing the inner and outer Scouts. Their members reach down to St. Augustine with members reaching as far north as Virginia! Their skills range from sewing to masterful prop and armor creation!
Above all, though, the Sailor Scouts are about one thing: TEAMWORK.

And this one of for all you moonies out there.
Over the summer, the team from WasabiCon went to Anime Expo in Los Angeles and saw Momoiro Clover Z in concert.  If you’re not familiar: MCZ is the band responsible for the theme song to the new Sailor Moon series: Sailor Moon Crystal.

ANYWAY: While we were there, we scored this really cool Sailor Moon poster promoting Sailor Moon Crystal and the band.  Here’s a full photo:

Since the amazingly talented Amanda Miller (the voice of Sailor Jupiter) is joining us for WasabiCon 2015 – we figured this made sense as a prize.

GUEST ANNOUNCEMENT: Amanda Miller (@amanda_celine) is coming to WasabiCon!

Amanda MillerFrom voicing Cherche and Sully, the knight nicknamed “The Woman to End All Men” in Nintendo’s Fire Emblem: Awakening, to filling bad guys with arrows as the Marvel superhero Kate Bishop/Hawkeye, Amanda Miller is best known for playing spunky, badass heroines. She has provided voices for numerous video games, audiobooks, and anime, and is over the moon about getting to voice her childhood hero, Sailor Jupiter, in the Viz Media dub of Sailor Moon.
Some other projects include voicing Ibuki in Coppelion, Seiji Nomi and Megumi in Accel World, Young Jamil and Young Cassim in Magi, Takeru in Squid Girl, as well as the video games Dangan Ronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc as Junko and Toko, Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory (as MAGES.), BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma (Nine), Valhalla Knights 3, the Wipeout series, Earth Defense Force 2025, Lightning Returns, and Harley in the MMO Zombies Monsters Robots.
