WASABICON® partners with Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida for their annual charity auction to grant wishes for children with critical illnesses.

WasabiCon® in Jacksonville is looking to have fun and do good with it’s annual convention on Sunday, October 20th. WasabiCon® is Jacksonville’s annual celebration of pop culture for fans of cosplay, video games, anime, comics, sci-fi, tabletop gaming, and everything fandom has to offer. This year the convention will partner with Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida for their convention closing ceremonies charity auction, hoping to raise funds to help grant wishes to children diagnosed with critical illnesses right here in Jacksonville.

Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida grants the wishes of children between the ages of 2 1⁄2 and 18 who have been diagnosed with a critical illness. A wish come true helps children feel stronger, more energetic, more willing and able to battle their critical illnesses. For many, the wish marks a turning point in the fight against their illnesses.

The Charity Auction will feature items from artists participating in the convention as well as items unique to Jacksonville and will also feature a guest speaker from Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida and a past wish family. The auction is open to the general public and not limited to convention attendees only.

The Charity Auction will take place Sunday, October 20, 2020 in the MAIN EVENTS room (Port Room) at the Lexington Hotel & Conference Center at 4:00 PM. Admission into WasabiCon is not required to attend the auction.
