WasabiCon offers an abundance of programming throughout the weekend for a variety of interests. We typically post the complete schedule with all of our planned contests, competitions, panels, workshops and other entertainment. Listed here are some of the main events to be aware of when you attend this year’s convention.
Media guests who appear at WasabiCon participate in at least one Q&A (question and answer) session each day of the convention. Ask your favorite star about their experiences and listen to their stories about working in the industry.

APPLICATIONS NOW CLOSED. What’s an anime convention without cosplay? Our annual costume contest returns with the opportunity for attendees to showcase their hard work on their cosplay for the audience and our judges.

Join us for WasabiCon’s friendly and fun Cosplay Contest Junior! With no craftsmanship requirements and no complicated categories, it’s all about having a great time. Come dressed as your favorite character and let your imagination shine—kids 12 and under are invited to step into the spotlight and enjoy the fun!

APPLICATIONS NOW CLOSED. The Cosplay Lip Sync Battle is back again at WasabiCon, where fans can showcase their energy and costumes on stage! Channel your inner pop star (or rock star… or country star… you get it, right?) while “performing” Milli Vanilli style in your chosen character costume.

IdolFest brings the excitement of live performances to WasabiCon! Celebrate your favorite idols with stunning showcases of singing, dancing, and pure fandom energy. Whether you’re a performer or a fan, IdolFest is the perfect stage to enjoy the magic of idol culture!

Separately Ticketed Event. Konnichiwa! WasabiCon invites you to experience some kawaii culture via its very own maid café! Inspired by the popular storefronts in the Akihabara district in Tokyo, this all-ages ticketed experience will immerse you in the world of cute, colorful, and playful maids who are there to serve up an hour of music, games, and more! Tickets are $30 (+ticketing fees; $33.40 total) and include the show, a cup of tea, a small dessert, and a gift bag full of maid café themed merchandise.
Separately Ticketed Event. Get ready to party with WasabiCon and Senpai Squad at our yearly anime rave. Featuring Awesomus Prime spinning tracks throughout the night with anime and EDM tunes. The first 50 attendees will also get a Senpai Squad goodie bag!
