The WasabiCon 2012 website is now UP AND RUNNING!
Things are moving fast!
A couple of months ago, we made the decision to move forward with our new event aptly named WasabiCon. (You can read the reason why here.) Since then, we’ve secured a location, built a website, and even have tentative confirmations for a number of guests.
How do we do it?
LOTS OF CAFFEINE.
That – and a lot of passion. We’re fans, just like you, and we enjoy the chance to hang out with other fans in a relaxed convention environment. That’s the backbone of WasabiCon… fellow geeks enjoying the culture and having a good time.
How can you help? Spread the word!
Tell your friends. Tell your neighbors. Tell your friends’ neighbors. We want to let all of the Jacksonville/St. Augustine area know that we’re serious about making this happen and giving the local fans the event they deserve.
Step one? Location. We’ve secured all the convention space at the Jacksonville Marriott right off of I-95 on Salisbury road. Better yet, we know what the fans want. Thus we’ve worked with the hotel to secure a $99 a night room rate. (You can already reserve a room.)

Awesome achievement and awesome forward motion! Guess I’ll try adding more caffeine to MY passion. Or more passion to my caffeine. Or I’ll have what they’re having… or… I shall see you there! WASABI!
